The British Columbia Regiment (Duke of Connaught’s Own) Association Band serves as the regimental band of the Regiment. After a 20-year hiatus following the disbanding of the regimental band in the mid-1960’s, the Band re-formed in 1987 as an all-volunteer band. It rehearses weekly at the historic Beatty Street Drill Hall, home of the Regiment.
Band at BC Highland Games, 2002 Under Band Director Bombadier Brian Smith, the Band comprises civilian volunteers who perform for military and public functions as representatives of the Regiment. Pipe Sgt G.W. Barrett In 1992 the position of Commanding Officer's Piper was created. The uniform is that of an Irish Piper as Connaught is an Irish county, and the piper wears the badges of the 7th Battalion and the DCOR.
